Welcome to the Friends of Castle Green in Hereford.

We are an active community group committed to respecting the heritage of Castle Green, making more use of the park for the today's community and improving and protecting it for future generations.

The Annual General Meeting of the Friends was held at 7.00pm on Thursday, 14th July at Castle Cliffe, Quay Street next to the Training Centre at the corner of the Castle Green. The weather was kind and around 40 members attended

the formal proceedings, followed by a barbecue. Pete Blench gave an inspiring talk bringing the River Wye into the context of the city in general and the Castle Green area in particular and three new members joined the committee

Don’t forget, ‘The Taming of The Shrew’ is performed on Saturday, 30th July at 7.30pm on Redcliffe Gardens Tickets are available from Outback Records, 19 Church Street, Hereford (cash/cheque SAE required), from www.heartbreakproductions.co.uk or in High Town from the Historical Hereford Day kiosk on 9th & 16th July.

£12.00 Adult / £8.00 Concessions. Bring a rug, a chair, a picnic. Bottled beer & wine will be available.
